Our Coaches
Shaun Steiner
Shaun brings over 14 years of experience in
grappling and MMA, with a strong focus on skill development
and performance.
He leads the adult co-ed classes as well as the older kids
and teens programs. His approach is rooted in a deep interest
in how people learn, with an emphasis on practice design,
adaptability, and developing effective, high-level jiu-jitsu.
Shaun is constantly refining how sessions are structured to
help students progress as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Jessi Steiner
Jessi brings over 16
years of experience in grappling and MMA and plays a key role in
shaping the gym's supportive, engaging environment.
She leads the women's program, co-coaches the 7-9 group,
and assists with older kids and teens. She especially values
working with younger athletes during an important stage of
both physical and emotional development, helping them build
confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
In the women's classes, she creates a space that balances
technical growth with open communication. Supportive, focused,
and genuinely fun.
Our Academy
We take our role as leaders seriously, but that doesn't
mean creating a rigid or overly formal environment.
For us, it's about running a gym where people feel comfortable, supported,
and challenged at the same time. That starts with a clean space, clear
expectations, and a culture built on respect.
A lot of our focus goes into how we design training. We want people to
develop skills that actually hold up over time in real situations. Our
sessions are built to encourage problem-solving, adaptability, and active
engagement, with guidance throughout.
We also believe a good gym is one where people feel like they're part of
something. Communication is open, and we value input from our members,
but it's our responsibility to maintain a positive, respectful, and
focused environment.
At the end of the day, our job is to take care of the space, the people,
and the training so everyone who walks in has the opportunity to improve
and enjoy the process.
